On Saturday, December 19, 2009, Nick Green, CEO of Ivy Insiders Test Prep will return to the Edina Center for Academic Excellence.  Nick’s annual student-focused seminar  is specifically for gifted 6th-9th graders who plan to take the ACT or SAT for the first time as part of the Academic Talent Search process.  Nick is a Harvard graduate and former Edina High School student who was identified as gifted and scored a perfect 1600 on the SAT.  His seminar will focus on easing anxieties about taking the test and share a “game strategy” approach to the exam.  He will explain the basics of SAT/ACT testing, what younger students should expect to know and not know, what to do when time is short (aka should you guess?), how to make the best choice of answers, and other strategies that have been shared with actual high school students preparing for their college entrance exams.  This special 3 hour mini-session will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Edina Community Center, Room 351.  The fee per student is $25.  One parent is welcome and encouraged to attend free with student.  There are a limited number of spaces in our classroom.  Please download your copy of the registration form HERE:  numats_reg_form3
